The Bruce Highway Overtaking Lanes - Mackay to Prosepine project involved widening of road shoulders and reconstruction of pavement formations to accomodate three new overtaking lanes on the highway. The project involved reconstruction of around 5 kilometres of highway standard pavements.

Scope of Works

  • Earthworks for construction including import and placement of fill materials.
  • Construction of a geotextile strengthened subgrade
  • Culvert construction within waterways
  • Traffic management of the Bruce Highway including considerations for the high percentage of heavy vehicles.
  • Works managed through the tropical wet season.
