Alstonville Bypass

The Alstonville Bypass project involved the construction of a six and half kilometre new road including earthworks, drainage, structures and pavement works.

A key interchange was constructed at Kays Lane and the new road was tied-in to the Bruxner Highway at each end. This required careful traffic planning and the implementation of traffic control on the highway as well as surrounding local roads.

Scope of Works

Construction of structures including Bebo arches over water courses.
Bulk earthworks, including 350,000 cubic metres of cut to fill with blasting requirements.
Fills of up to 15 metres including some reinforced earth works
Complex traffic management including traffic switches under live traffic conditions.
Erosion and sediment control for large areas of open earthworks
Prepartion and delivery of bridge construction temporary works
Flexible pavement and rigid heavy duty pavement construction.
